Pool House: Day 3

We have a roof!

240/365

I have passed this guy 3 times this week each in a different city. Each day, he is a little further down the road than he was the day before. I finally pulled over and asked if I could take his picture and he said yes. He finally made it to the town I live in so I told the clerk where I work that she needed to call the newspaper to do a story on this guy because he was either A. Not right or B. Walking for a cause. A few days later there was a story in the paper and the answer is B. His sign says, "Shore to shore. Walking across America to honor those who serve." And that he is. He started in Florida on June 10th and plans to end his walk in San Diego around Thanksgiving. Amazing. And check out those calf muscles!

Kid Gets Low

I came across this video on another blog. I don't know why, but I think it is hilarious!

Pool House: Day 2

There has been quite a bit of progress today. It was nice to be able to walk in and see how it's laid out. We are having a dilemma on what to do for flooring. Carpet is out since it will be getting wet and cement and tile get slippery when wet, so I'm unsure about what to do. We also have to pick out a paint color.

I'm really leaning towards a coral color and then accenting it with white and teal. I saw these prints (found here and here) and could almost picture them in a coral colored room matted with a white frame.
Who knows. I may change my mind a hundred more times between now and the trip to Sherwin Williams'.

Coach Love

Coach...why must you tempt me?

Stephanie

I am sooo proud of my sister, Stephanie. She started college today at UTSA and hopes to be a nurse some day. She has made a HUGE decision going out on her own and making the big move 2 1/2 hours away from home. I have complete faith in her and know that she will do awesome!
This was taken with her Blackberry, so it's a little blurry. Anyway, her dorm room is super cute, but she is missing a calendar to help keep track of parties classes. Still on the hunt for a magnetic dry erase board, but I did manage to find these magnets. I think they are super cute and will go perfect in her room!

Pool House: Day 1

We are having a "pool house" built. It's around 300 square feet (I think) with a bathroom, 3 windows and French doors that will open up to the outdoor kitchen (the covered area). I think it will also be perfect for when we have company because it will be big enough to put an air mattress in there. We wanted a place where people could change clothes and go to the bathroom that way water isn't tracked through the house.

Photography Class- Week 2

Second assignment: "Tell a story of your day."

Instructions: Take 10-20 pictures telling a story of one day this coming week. I am not allowed to explain anything while they are being shown on the board. The pictures must tell a story of what I did during one day.

My thoughts: I thought it would be funny to tell Jevon that this week's assignment was "reflections of your significant other." Ha! Seriously, I am just glad I'm not having to take pictures of myself again. Anyway, I am going to Lubbock on Saturday to get my lashes filled, my haircut, and shop, so this might actually work out perfectly. A day of pampering and shopping...sounds like a good story to me!

Week 1 Assignment

Photography Class- Week 1 Assignment:

One of my greatest accomplishments.

My Honey and me. He is one of the greatest things that has happened to me.

Not the clearest of pictures, but this a "reflection" of me and the doggies.
I never imagined myself living on a peanut farm, but here I am and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Moi.

I took this with my iPhone to compare clarity between it and my DSLR. It's official--I love my DSLR!!!

My footsies in the pool along with my freshly painted toes. I love a good pedi!

Me and the Scout-meister. He was not cooperating so I had to snap this one from behind.

1. I love to read (chick-lit especially)!
2. I like to be organized and may have a tad bit of OCD.

Me and Dasher.

(Class did not go well at all tonight. Everyone got to show their pictures except me and one other girl. For whatever reason, our disks wouldn't work and the pictures would not pull up. So, unfortunately, I wasn't able to show everyone my 10 pictures. The pictures I have posted, are the ones I had planned on showing. Here's hoping next week I can get this worked out!)
