This used to hang in the "Balloon Room" at my Meemaw and Pop's creek house. I think I was 6 or 7 when I made it in art class. Its drawn in chalk and then painted over with black watercolor paint. I painted it and then Meemaw had it framed and it has hung in the Balloon Room up until now. It's now sitting proudly in my craft room.

As we got older, we began referring to said room as the "Sperm Room" because what used to look like little balloons floating on the wallpapered walls, now closely resembled sperm.

Anyway, I always liked art as a kid. I still do, just in a different form. I like to make things, but not necessarily paint.

After months and months of back and forth phone calls, faxes, and super-friendly emails from Renee, our pool slide plans are finalized! And they deserve a picture! Hopefully it will be completed by summer.

Today marks the beginning of my 365 Project that I originally blogged about here. Let's hope I can stick with this! I think it will be fun!

Everytime I see my Meemaw, she sends me home with a "bag". Or in this most recent case, a craft kaboodle. As much as I give her a hard time about her "bags", I actually like getting them because it lets me know she is thinking about me. I found these colorful pins in the bottom and chose them for today's picture. Love you Meemaw!

Girls Gone Mild!

In 2 days I will be in a chili cookoff. Yes, you read that right. And no, I have never cooked chili. My work is putting this on as a fundraiser of sorts for our "Children In Need" fund. This could get interesting. On to the important stuff: Aprons! My friend Farrah and I are on team Girls Gone Mild!Cute, huh? I still need to iron them, but you get the idea. I will let you all know how it turns out. There will be awards for 1-10 and a showmanship award. Lord help us.

Christmas In Ruidoso

We had a fantastic time in Ruidoso. It snowed twice and it was just a great trip getting to spend time with friends and family. I love lists, so this post will be full of lists and pictures :)

The second night we got there, we went to see The Nutcracker at Spencer Theater. It was great, although a man jumping around in white (WHITE!!!) tights, is very distracting...and not in a good way.

No trip to Ruidoso would be complete without shopping in Midtown. I love all the shops downtown. A few of my favorites:

102 Center Street A little off the path, but full of neat finds. They even have an "adult" section, too. Penis straws anyone?

No Bones About It I love, love, LOVE this store. They have dog treats, clothes, and anything and everything to pamper your pooch.

"Mom, we've been good. Can we pleeeeeease have that I love Ruidoso t-shirt???"

J. Roberts A cute little boutique with clothes, shoes, jewelry, purses, and everything else. I wound up getting this necklace:

Michelena's The BEST pizza in the world!

Pasta Cafe Right in the middle of downtown. Ask for a window seat. Its nice and pretty at night, too!

As small of a place it is, Ruidoso does have a movie theater. We caught Bedtime Stories while we were there. A cute movie if you're bored. I give it 4 stars.

Christmas Eve we attended a candlelight service at Community United Methodist Church. It was a cute little church that resembled a log cabin. They were very welcoming and although I didn't want to go at first, I'm glad I did. It was a very nice service.

Of course we busted out the oranges and cloves and got busy. They smelled sooo good. I actually got a candle for Christmas that smells very similar...

Past Few Weeks = Big Blur

A post full of things to catch you up on stuff I have wanted to blog about, but haven't had the time to until now.

This past weekend my sister in law and I hosted a Silpada party and sold $3,000 $4,150 worth of jewelry, which means we each got $450 $625 worth of free jewelry. If you aren't familiar with their stuff, check it out. They have some really nice things and you can usually find a ton of their things on ebay, too! My Mom and Meemaw came to the party. Later that night, Meemaw snapped this picture of Dash. Notice he has not 1 leg on the floor. That's because he crawled in my lap and sat there. He thinks he is small like Scout. We just let him think that.

Last time I was in Victoria, I spotted this card carousel at this junk yard and decided that I needed it. I called my Mom to see if she would go get it. I was expecting it to be between $40 and $50. Nope! She got it for $10! TEN DOLLARS. I called her as she was loading it up and she was so excited she couldn't even talk. HA! I have a ton of blank note cards and I figured this would be a perfect way to store them. I originally got the idea from Pottery Barn. The only problem is #1. They don't make them anymore and #2. They were close to $200.

I have to post this picture because I about died yesterday when I tried to pull into the garage.

Yes, those are tumbleweeds. A shitload of them. It was so windy they all blew to the driveway and blocked me from pulling in. I just waited for Jevon to get home and he did an awesome job at getting rid of them and even pulled my car in for me when he was done :) Only in West Texas.

Speaking of West Texas...I do a LOT of driving for work with the furthest place being about 3.5 hours away. I get bored and try to break up the drive whenever I can. I ran across this picture tonight when I was uploading some other pictures. I took it somewhere between here and Sweetwater. There are a ton of these wind turbines out here and they are massive! I just think its a neat picture. You don't realize how big they are until you get really close to one.

A somewhat boring post, I know. I've just got a lot going on and not a whole lot of time to be creative with my little blog.

I'm Stuffed!

Thanksgiving went well. The family came to visit. I gained back the 7 pounds I recently lost and a good time was had by all!

Last year we went to the "Robert's Family Christmas" and decided to go and check it out again this year. They did not disappoint. The amount of time this guy puts into this show is amazing. Check out his YouTube video (turn up your volume):
